In the book of Sirach the Lord tells us that there are three things that he loves.
25 1 My soul takes pleasure in three things, and they are beautiful in the sight of the Lord and of men; agreement between brothers, friendship between neighbors, and a wife and a husband who live in harmony.
The Lord loves harmony. He loves when we come together in his name. He loves when we pray in his name. And he loves when we engage in any type of Apostolate in his name. As Augustine says in his rule: One heart, one mind intent upon God. Whether we are talking about the level of the family, the parish, a religious order or congregation, a diocese or the whole of the Catholic Church, we will accomplish much more if we can pray and work together. We must think of ourselves not as isolated individuals but as members of the body of Christ. We are all members of the Church and therefore we should pray and work together. God is in our midst when we gather in his name. Do your best to pray and work with those people who are in your life, especially your family. I encourage you to love and support one another through prayer and work.
Remember God loves you.
15 But if thy brother shall offend against thee, go, and rebuke him between thee and him alone. If he shall hear thee, thou shalt gain thy brother.
16 And if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more: that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand.
17 And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican.
18 Amen I say to you, whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, shall be bound also in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose upon earth, shall be loosed also in heaven.
19 Again I say to you, that if two of you shall consent upon earth, concerning any thing whatsoever they shall ask, it shall be done to them by my Father who is in heaven.
20 For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
